Recognize allergies in children early

Even years before children develop an allergy to grass pollen, the first antibodies can be detected in them. An appropriate test allows timely treatment.

Recognize allergies in children early

Researchers from five major German cities have examined over 800 blood samples from children. The blood was applied to a chip prepared with substances that could trigger an allergy (antigens). There were antibodies (antibodies) against these antigens, it came to a color reaction. Such antibodies were found in children long before the onset of allergy. Their production apparently increases gradually until it comes to allergic reaction. Treated at this early stage, chances of success are high and massive allergy can be prevented.
